Hi there. I’m Joe, but you can call me Jo for short. I’m a Program Manager at Microsoft, working on Azure’s Automation service, System Center Service Management Automation, and the new Microsoft Operations Management Suite. In my spare time, though, I tend to hack away on whatever idea I thought up the week before (be sure to check out my list of side projects below).

While I consider myself a full stack engineer, my latest projects have me focused on Azure, PowerShell, distributed systems, cyber-security, and JavaScript/HTML/CSS. I’m also very interested in growth hacking, and always experimenting with new ways to reach the masses.

I graduated with high distinction from Duke University (go Blue Devils!), with a degree in Computer Science. When I’m not working on Microsoft or personal projects, I like to compete in pub trivia, wipe out going off jumps on my skis, and go kayaking in Salma Kayak (my trusty sidekick).

Interested in getting in contact? Send me an email at my_first_name [dot] my_last_name [at] alumni.duke.edu or follow me on Twitter.

Happy with the work I’ve done, used a side project I created, or just enjoyed a blog post I wrote? Show me some love by buying something from Amazon.com using my affiliate link. Don’t try to help me out too much by always buying through this link — you may end up getting me banned from the affiliate program instead! Please just use this link when you’re happy with something I’ve done, to browse Amazon for things you may want to purchase.
